song.

Sunday, January 3, 2010

I wouldn't be able to sleep if I didn't post this.

I really love this song, especially the lyrics. The way Meg and Dia sing it, it's perfect. I can barely describe it well, so just give it a listen

"But these things take time love.
These things take backbone.
And theyll tell you what you want to hear
cause they think its better. Better.
But you better know how to point out the liars.
Youve got to weigh your wars make sure youre not fighting for nothing. Nothing.
Are you fighting for nothing, nothing?"

After all this time, Severus?

Likk tis' is.. *sniff sniff* ... so saaadd... *blows snot into tissue* ='(

"Dumbledore: After all this time, Severus?
Snape: Always.
(discussing Snape's continued love for Lily Potter)"
— J.K. Rowling

Ok I wasn't really crying... I don't cry much since the organ my blood flows to isn't a heart, it's a black coffin of ash and dust. But this black coffin feels sad sometimes and I think it totally died when I read that quote thing.

I was bored so I was checking out GSC and then checked out Snape's wiki page and and... ='( So saddening. Snape was like the best character out of the whole story. The dude died for nothing.

Oh god I'm such a big fat pussy. ='(

Heroes

Saturday, June 13, 2009

Okay I shouldn't rant about Heroes so much since I know not many ppl watch it and I'm starting to look REALLY whine-ey.
Well excuse me for acting like a spoilt brat for 5 minutes please. I need to tell the world how much I hate bimbotic bitchy blondes. (They all start with a B!)

I just finished episode 9 of season 3 and I think they're taking sides already.
Mr Petrelli on one side with his homies while Mrs Petrelli on the other side with her 'hood.

(And there's this issue that's bothering me. Okay I know this movie's supposed to be based on fictional 'science facts', with all the 'formulas' and stuff but some of the abilities are just... WTF. Like flying. I never did understand flying. Are you defying physics or do you have invisible jet packs on your Nikes? 0_o)

Anyways, back to the main topic... WHY IS THERE A BLOND ON BOTH SIDES?!
I hate Claire and Elle soooo much. (Well not as much as Peter Petrelli cause Peter's a stupid pussy with the IQ of a turtle.)

Reason why I hate them:

1. Daddy issues.

Okay your dad may have lied/control/tortured you when you were a kid blah blah yadda yadda crap blah etc. Well whatever, stop it! WE GET IT ALREADY, OKAY?! What is with bimbos and their daddy problems?!

“You know who is confused? Bimbos. They’re easily confused. It’s one of the thousand little things I love about them. I love their vacant, trusting stares; their sluggish, unencumbered minds; their unresolved daddy issues. I love them Lily, and they love me. Bimbos have always been there for me, through thick and thin-mostly thin. B-man don’t do thick crust, what up!”
-quote from How I Met Your Mother, said by Barney Stinson the man himself.

2. Some dumbfuck from youtube.
(Not a reasonable reason but I'm including it. You can't stop me)
From some random video of Hayden Panettiere (or however you spell it), someone commented that 'she is definetly hotter than megan fox'.
Uh-huh. Yeah right. Totally. -___-

ARE YOU BLIND?! THAT IS MEGAN EFFING FOX YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT. MEGAN FOX! THE PERSON THAT WAS VOTED SEXIEST WOMAN ALIVE BY FHM.

(oh btw I did a double check on the rumours saying that she was born a man and guess what? They're fake. I don't know whether I should be threatened as a fellow female species or relieved that a man wasn't hotter than 90% of the female population.)

3. They contradict themselves so much
Elle kept shouting to Sylar : "YOU MURDERER!" As if like that's something bad in the show. Well even if it is something bad, her first appearance in Season 2 episode 1 she was already killing as regularly as eating breakfast. -__- And not reasonable killing too. She killed Caitlin's brother which was unnecessary since she didn't even catch Peter in the end.

Why couldn't she catch him? O_o doesn't it take a dumb-eff to know a dumb-eff to catch a dumb-eff?

Okay maybe I should've embrace the only few pairings in the show like Sylar/Elle, Matt/Daphne, Nathan/Tracy Strauss...

BUT WTF ARE THEY ALL BLONDS.
Maker of Heroes, Tim Kring, the Gods, ANYONE, I don't care who, just STOP WITH THE BLONDS. PLEASE. STOP IT. At least make them smart and not so emotional! Maybe you could add in some brunette guys? I don't even care if they're gay and married! JUST ADD THEM IN ALREADY. Someone like Josh Duhamel or something!

Oh wait I'm watching a science fiction. The only ppl that watch these kinda shows are...

male dorks.

...oh so that explains the infinite amount of blonds. Oh crap I think I need to watch shows like House or Desperate Housewives instead.

*Insert question mark here*

Listening to : Andrea Bocelli
Mood: Thinking too much

Note: Very long useless rant to satisfy my idleness. Don't read if you don't want to waste your precious time. Touches on religion and society. Very confusing indeed.

"...one of the sad facts about getting older is that you've always thought of yourself and people you know as righteous and true and the people you dislike as evil. The older you get the more muddy that water becomes." -Daniel Handler (Author of A Series Of Unfortunate Events)

... So true.

What can really separate us from good and bad?
Society's views?
Habits passed on for generations?
Religion?
Our own opinion?

Always in movies or books you'll see this really evil person that turns out to be... 'good' or just 'neutral' in the end.
Good examples include:
Snape from Harry Potter,
Count Olaf from Series of Unfortunate Events,
Galileo Galilei (If u didn't know, Galileo contributed a lot to the study of astronomy, but he was suspected of heresy by the church),
Sylar from Heroes
and etc.

All of them, in my honest opinion, were pretty neutral to me since the start to the very end of me knowing about them. Okay, some people may not agree on Sylar, but he was abused as a kid, and that may have scrambled his brains up a little, and so what if he's taking advantage of Peter Petrelli? Stupid Peter has every ability known to man anyways.

And on the topic of religion.
Religion doesn't make bad people. Bad characteristics make bad people.
There are bad people in every religion. Religion is just part of you, not as a whole.
So I do get a little pissed off when some Americans have prejudice over Muslims since their 911 incident.

And people shouldn't avoid doing bad things for JUST the sake of being true to your religion, do it for the sake of others' happiness, for the sake of the next generation's future. I don't think being scared of divine retribution and thus not committing a crime is going to help the thinking of future people.

And waging wars in God's name is just... effed up.

(Image taken from A Perfect Circle's website by the way.)

Actually not just that. Using God's name for your own greed, twisting His words to your own advantage, and consoling yourself that you are merely doing this for Him is just plain wrong.

I'm not going to mention people that are committing this act. There are just too many to mention. You may know them from daily life as people close to you, from the media as politicians, and many, many more.

I myself am just one person. I cannot do much but I can restrain myself from doing bad things when my conscience tells me it's just a crappy thing to do that will affect other people. I'm no Saint. But that doesn't make me Satan either.

Epilogue to Through the Looking Glass
(Also known as "A Boat Beneath A Sunny Sky")

A boat beneath a sunny sky,
Lingering onward dreamily.
In an evening of July --

Children three that nestle near,
Eager eye and willing ear,
Pleased a simple tale to hear --

Long had paled that sunny sky:
Echoes fade and memories die.
Autumn frosts have slain July.

Still she haunts me, phantomwise,
Alice moving under skies
Never seen by waking eyes.

Children yet, the tale to hear,
Eager eye and willing ear,
Lovingly shall nestle near.

In a Wonderland they lie,
Dreaming as the days go by,
Dreaming as the summers die:

Ever drifting down the stream --
Lingering in the golden gleam --
Life, what is it but a dream?

-Lewis Carroll
(From the book "Through The Looking-Glass, and What Alice Found There")

This poem is a (kinda) title-less poem at the end of the book. The beginning letters of each line, when put together, spell Alice Pleasance Liddell.

Alice Liddell seemed to be a real girl and she was the inspiration for the story.
(Rumor has it that Lewis Carroll was a pedophile and liked the real-life Alice. O_o)

Well I'm not going to accept or reject any rumors. I'm just going to know they exist, but I'm not going to acknowledge it, since Lewis Carroll is the writer of one of my favourite books (next to Chuck Palahniuk's Fight Club of course).

Hush-a-by lady (Lewis Carroll)
Hush-a-by lady, in Alice's lap!
Till the feast's ready, we've time for a nap:
When the feast's over, we'll go to the ball --
Red Queen, and White Queen, and Alice,
and all!

Hush-a-by baby (Mother Goose)
Hush-a-by Baby, on the tree top,
When the wind blows, the cradle will rock;
When the bough breaks, the cradle will fall,
Down tumbles baby, cradle, and all.

HA. I prefer Lewis Carroll's version. Mother goose is a sick baby killer!

Okay, that was random. But I just had to slip it in, somewhere.

Well anyways, Alice is barely an obsession of mine, it's just a pure interest I check from time to time. What really catches me though is the odd whimsical and cheekiness of the writing.

It's so fun sometimes in this awkward way. =D

(Psst... I still haven't got the original unabridged versions of Wonderland and the Looking-Glass yet. Someone mind getting me a leather bound one? =D )

(Oh fine I know, DREAM ON.)

CHUCK PALAHNIUK ON CRIMINAL MINDS SEASON 4'S EPISODE 2

8D

Don't mind me, I'm just crazy for the moment.
(Yeah it's just his words but omg my fav show and fav author on at the same time is like... omg I feel so happeh and high. WHO NEEDS MARIJUANA WHEN U GOT THIS?! 8D )

The quote was from the book Diary and I just finished reading it at 3am this morning. (GO ME!)

"We all die. The goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will."
-Chuck Palahniuk

I am truly grateful for being alive.

Please excuse my occasional dork moments.

"I’m sure that I will always be
A lonely number like root three

The three is all that’s good and right,
Why must my three keep out of sight
Beneath the vicious square root sign,
I wish instead I were a nine

For nine could thwart this evil trick,
with just some quick arithmetic

I know I’ll never see the sun, as 1.7321
Such is my reality, a sad irrationality

When hark! What is this I see,
Another square root of a three

As quietly co-waltzing by,
Together now we multiply
To form a number we prefer,
Rejoicing as an integer

We break free from our mortal bonds
With the wave of magic wands

Our square root signs become unglued
Your love for me has been renewed."

-Kumar
(From the film 'Harold & Kumar Escape From Guantanamo Bay', written by David Feinberg)

And the poem recited from the film.

"And when the stars are shining brightly in the velvet sky,
I'll make a wish send it to heaven then make you want to cry
The tears of joy for all the pleasure and the certainty.
That we're surrounded by the comfort and protection of
The highest power. In lonely hours. The tears devour you. "

-Savage Garden (Truly Madly Deeply)

"Before you, Bella, my life was like a moonless night.
Very dark, but there were stars- points of light and reason...
And then you shot across my sky like a meteor. Suddenly everything was on fire; there was brilliancy, there was beauty.
When you were gone, when the meteor had fallen over the horizon, everything went black. Nothing had changed, but my eyes were blinded by the light.
I couldn't see the stars anymore. And there was no reason for anything."

-Edward Cullen (Twilight)
